Commissioned Visionary Art

Creating commissioned art for pleasure, websites, business, and healing is a moving and very satisfying experience for me. Many individuals have their own personal piece created or one for family members, friends, lovers, relatives and I have done many of a beloved pet. These are meaningful “art works” not crafty little do-das.
For over thirty years I have been creating this type of work in one form or another. Some of the most popular choices for commissioned works have been:
Inner-child self, self as whole and complete, honoring a loved one who is alive or who has passed away, goddess-self, enlightened self, empowerment, art medicine (sometimes for specific healings), protected-self, a whole family......
I suggest that you use your imagination, hearts desire and consider what image you or your loved one would most cherish! Besides being delighted by a piece of art that has personal meaning, the power of Creative Visualization has been proven to be an enormously powerful tool in healing on all levels. These do make life-long cherished gifts and I will create them in just about any size you want.
For further information, first email me in writing about the basic idea you are considering for a commissioned art piece. I will contact you as promptly as I’m able with questions and further details needed to fulfill your desires. I may request that you gather more information through a suggested guided meditation exercise or a bit of inner contemplation. Then, I may also request that you send me original or high quality reproductions or original photographs to work with. These will be returned to you in the condition they were received in. These images of yourself as a child, (for example) are to help me to create and inner-child healing piece for you. I will need permission from the person who took the picture (see copyright details on this website). At least one phone conversation is usually needed to be very clear about important details.
The cost for this type of work varies greatly depending on the size and time commitment. Once the details of an order have been established, I will email or send you a contract to sign which will include a written estimate for this work. Then, you will send me one-half of the total estimated cost as well as the signed contract. When I receive payment and contract, I will begin working on the art for you. The time frame for completion of the art for you varies and sometimes three to six months is necessary because your work order is submitted in the order in which it was received. Suggestion; plan way ahead for those special gift orders if you want them by a certain date! Often though, a new order just fit in to the flow of my creative process here in the studio and will be completed before expected. I need to give myself plenty of leeway in this situation since it is so important to get it just right for you! Remember, please have patience, I am a human being and not a machine and this is an art studio and not a factory. Each and every piece is created with the utmost loving care! Thank you so much for your interest in my work, Ruby Rice
